The Anguillian,
Dear Sir
I have been coming to Anguilla for 26 years because I love it here. Now I see it regressing and it makes me sad. It has become so expensive. It’s hard to afford to vacation here. Everything is geared towards the wealthy and that is not working anymore. I think the government has to change that. Target the middle class. We are the ones who spend the money here: renting cars, buying gas and food in the grocery stores, local markets and shops. We are putting money in your economy. The big resorts are one market but not the only market. You are missing the middle class market. We are the ones who help support the Anguillian people.
One other major thing is crime. We never worried about that before, and now we have to. It’s time Government took that more seriously and arrest the people who commit these crimes – and make the punishment severe enough so they think twice about what they are doing.
You have a treasure here that’s why so many of us come back year after year. But you are making it harder and harder for us to continue to come to our favorite place on earth!
Thank you
