On behalf of the Principal, teachers, parents and students of the Special Education Department at the Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School, we take this opportunity to thank everyone for the support given during our special week of activities from 9th- 14th March, 2014.

To our secretaries Ms Joselyn Richardson Gumbs and Ms Maria Hodge who assisted with printing, typing and photocopying letters. Ms Richardson, thank you for your support in mounting the collage at the Teachers Resource Centre. We are indeed grateful.
To Mr. and Mrs. Carland Webster for recording my speech and the music. Thanks for your patience and expertise.
Thanks to Mr. Keith stone Greaves for recording the students’ inspiring alphabet and poem on the theme.
We are indeed grateful to Mr. Andy Browne who willingly and freely took pictures of the teachers and students for the Collage Display.
A heartfelt thank you to Pastor Welcome and the members of the Faith Dominion Center who hosted our special service. We were truly blessed to share in the service in rendering two songs.
We are grateful to Mr. Timothy at ANI’s Art Academy, his staff and students who warmly welcomed us and shared various skills with us.
Thanks to Ms. Clarion for an informative tour of WISE and the programme offered there.
We are happy to have been invited to the workshop co-ordinated by Ms. Njeri Carty and to the Autism and Diet presentation done by Mrs. F Battik and Mrs. Violet Martin.
Our musical evening by talented Mr. Gordon Hazell and his brother who was a great treat. For our other secretary Ms. Keria Hughes who sang so beautifully at our musical evening.
An extended thank you goes to Chanelle Petty-Barrett, our Permanent Secretary, and Mrs. Jacqueline Jeffrey Connor, our Education Officer Multi-professional Services, for participating in our Musical Session.
The highlight of the activities was the baking exercise at the Rock Oven in South Hill, trip to St. Martin, thanks to all who made it possible and the Collage Display by students and teachers.
We are indeed grateful to Mrs. Hyra Webster, Mrs. Zelmera and Mrs. Melsadis Fleming, our Deputy Principal, for mixing the dough for our delicious Johnny cakes.
A special thank you to Mr. Rawlins Richardson and Ms. Gracelyn Webster for demonstrating to students how baking in a rock oven was done long ago.
Thanks to my teachers who were creative in assisting with plans for this celebration.
To the parents and the general public who visited Open Week at the Learning Centre at Campus A and the collage at the Teacher Resource Centre and supported in any way, we are grateful.
To our exceptional students who taught classes, willingly participated in all the field trips including the Valley Primary School, the Big Spring and the Restaurants, we are delighted that you appreciated the sacrifices made for you.
To Mrs. Rhonda Connor, Chief Education Officer, and our Principal, Mrs. Ingrid Lake, for your kind support and for allowing us this week to sensitise the public of the needs of our students.
To Mrs. Jacqueline Jeffrey- Connor for the weekly meetings in putting all plans together for this grand occasion.
To our bus drivers, Crispin, William and Cotchy, for their patience and for transporting us to and from our destinations on time.
