Malliouhana-Anico Insurance Company (MAICO) Limited has upgraded its services with a Certified Claims Adjuster in the person of Mr Cleo Hamm.
Mr Hamm, who has been employed by the company for over a year, became certified following the completion of a two-week Designation and XACT-TI-MATE 28 training course in Orlando, Florida. The software dealt with by the course is of particular importance in ensuring that claims can be addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
Hamm commented that the training was a great opportunity for him to learn about other software programmes. He made the point that while the process of claims handling was universal, differences existed due to region, catastrophes and risks.
Ms Monica Hodge, MAICO’s General Manager, was pleased with Mr Hamm’s training and service in that it was the first time the company had a Certified Claims Adjuster. However, in the absence of such a person, she handled most of the company’s oversight and compliance issues.
