The Anguilla Community College would like to congratulate Mr. Shaquan Lake and Ms. Kristina Davis, the winning couple of the Mr. and Ms. Year 5 Pageant. Both students have received a 50% tuition scholarship to study for an Associate Degree at the Anguilla Community College (ACC), commencing September 2014. The students can pursue an Associate Degree in Business Studies, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Management Information Systems (IT) or Early Childhood Education.
The Anguilla Community College was pleased to be one of the main sponsors of this fifth form event. Each year over 100 students graduate from the fifth form class of the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School. It is important that students, parents and teachers are aware that the Anguilla Community College is an established and credible option for students who wish to pursue further studies on completion of their CSEC subjects.
The classes at the College are learner directed and these two years of study result in personal growth and maturation for recent graduates. An Associate Degree at the Anguilla Community College exposes students to a wide range of subject areas within and related to their chosen Associate Degree. The semester based structure, teamwork requirements and applicable real life projects and presentations prepare students for the challenges of independent study and build essential workplace skills. Students who complete the degree at the ACC with strong grade point averages are able to enter directly into their sophomore or junior year of study for a Bachelor’s Degree.
The total cost of a four-year degree can be drastically reduced by spending the first two years at the Anguilla Community College as tuition fees and living expenses are significantly lower than overseas universities. In addition, students at the College can work during the day and build their personal savings and work experience while attending classes at the Anguilla Community College. The College, through its partner the Anguilla Chamber of Commerce, also offers an opportunity for recent graduates to achieve scholarships. The Government of Anguilla also supports its employees who pursue tertiary education at the Anguilla Community College.
The Anguilla Community College is committed to life-long learning and these values are passed on and instilled in our students. We welcome the opportunity to speak to those who will be graduating in a few months about starting their tertiary education studies with College. We encourage you to expand your possibilities and ‘Start at the ACC.’
Please contact us to discuss why the Anguilla Community College may be right for you at info@acc.edu.ai or 498-8395/497-2538 or visit us at our offices in George Hill.
