POLICE REPORT CRIMES FOR FEBRUARY 19-26

Ten crimes were reported by the Police in Anguilla during the period February 19-26. Among the offences was an armed robbery at a Chinese restaurant at Island Harbour.

ADVERTISEMENT

The report, on February 19, was that a masked man, armed with a gun, entered the premises at about 8.57 pm and stole a bag containing a bottle. A shot was discharged in the process but no one was injured.

Seven thefts were reported at Island Harbour, West End, The Quarter, The Valley, Rock Farm and South Hill. The stolen items included cellular phones, electricity and jewellery. One burglary was reported at Long Path where a charger was stolen.

There was one report of an attempted suicide.The person was in police custody at the time.

Four persons were arrested during the period as follows: one male for immigration purposes; one male on suspicion of robbery; one male for obstruction; and one male for operating a boat to endanger persons.
