The Royal Anguilla Police Welfare Association has donated EC$4,000 to Ms Alicia Smith to assist her with expenses incurred by her daughter’s surgery in the United Kingdom on February 27. The family is also being assisted by the Ministry of Social Development.

The financial assistance takes care of the surgical treatment, but the accommodation expenses are being met by the parent. Ms Smith and her daughter left Anguilla on Monday, February 24.
A statement from the police said the donation was an effort to give back to the community in time of need.
