ANGUILLA, BWI – Cap Juluca, a British West Indies retreat known for its pristine white sand beaches and signature Moorish-style villas, continues to garner accolades – with fresh recognition from Condé Nast Johansens with its 2014 Awards for Excellence as Best Hotel in the Caribbean.
Recently named the world’s number one beach resort by readers of Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report in its 2013 Readers’ Choice Awards, this latest award provides further affirmation that Cap Juluca is one of the world’s top luxury resorts.
“We are thrilled to be recognized by Condé Nast Johansens, a leading guide for savvy travelers,” said Charles and Linda Hickox, owners of Cap Juluca. “We go to great lengths to meet the needs of our guests, and this award is a testament to our dedication, as well as the gracious and accommodating nature of our talented staff.”
Both accolades come on the heels of the resort’s refurbishment of each of its 69 guestrooms, as well as the addition of the 3,290-square-foot Jonquil Suite and completion of significant upgrades to three eateries. The renovations were all made by the Hickox’ – the resort’s original owners – who after reacquiring the property in May 2012, have made millions of dollars in enhancements throughout the resort.
A reference guide for independent travelers, Condé Nast Johansens remains the most comprehensive digital and print reference to annually inspected, independently owned hotels. With highly trained local experts, almost ten times as many properties have been assessed as appear in the guides to narrow the final selection down to the best selection of accommodations for independent travelers. With a readership of more than six million, the guides’ distribution now totals 33,350 internationally. For more information, visit http://www.johansens.com/.
