The Royal Anguilla Police Force is delighted to have expanded the programme of activities, this year, in celebration of its 42nd Anniversary by including a regional Queen Show Pageant. The event was organised for Thursday night this week at the Landsome Bowl Cultural Centre.
The six contestants, who were welcomed at a number of public events for Police Week, are all young police officers in their respective forces. They are Amanda Mosses of Antigua and Barbuda; Delma Tavernier of the British Virgin Islands; Dolena Boyd of St Kitts-Nevis; Liselle Paul of St Lucia; and Marcell Dottin of Anguilla.
Constable Seth Williams, of the Royal Anguilla Police Force, in charge of the pageant, said the event was included in the Police Week of activities to provide a new flavour of fun and variety to the programme. He added that it also showed that the police were aware of the cultural life of the various islands and were participants in activities which unite and entertain the community.
