ASHANDA CONNOR GRADUATES WITH HONOURS

Mr Samuel Connor and Ms Veronica Davis of Blowing Point are both proud to announce that on November 20th, 2013, their daughter, Ashanda Samica Connor, graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging (attaining upper second class honors). She is the first Anguillian to graduate from this University.

During her formative years of learning, Ashanda attended the Teacher Gloria Omololu Institute. She then completed her secondary education at the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School where she graduated in 2008 with nine (9) O levels; three (3) of which she attained with distinction. She then attended sixth form and gained five (5) A levels and received awards for Communications Studies and Biology.

Miss Connor left Anguilla in 2010 to further her education. In 2012, she worked at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Bridgetown, Barbados where she did an elective placement. She is currently residing in the United Kingdom and is employed as a Radiographer at the Southampton University Hospital NHS Trust in Southampton, Hampshire. Miss Connor plans to further pursue her Masters Degree in the very near future. She aspires to attain her Masters in Ultrasound so that she can increase her skills in Medical Imaging Sciences.
