Anguilla Golf Association Results of the “Long Ranger” Tournament

The Anguilla Golf Association (AGA) hosted its first tournament for 2014 with the popular “Lone Ranger” four-person/two best balls Tournament format at Cuisinart Golf Course on Saturday 11th January.

A total of 34 golfers in 9 teams participated in the event which kicked off at 8:30am.

The winning team comprising of Thomas Astaphan, Jeffrey Griffiths, Brett Fetterolf and Troy Gumbs, emerged with a score of 128; a whopping 10 stroke lead over the nearest competitors.

Second place went to the team of Althea Turner, Richard Oliver and John Grey with a score of 138.

The third place spot went to the team of Jason Chapman, Gary Charkham, Rob Holtet and Chad Bourassa. Third place was decided by a tie-break as there were two teams tied at 142 resulting in a tie-breaker using the matching Scorecard Method.

A special thank you to the staff of Cuisinart Golf Club.

The next event in the AGA calendar for 2014 will be a Two Person Scramble and is scheduled for Saturday 1st February at 8:30am.
