After School Activity Programme (ASAP):-
The CARICOM Secretariat is implementing the After School Activity Programme (ASAP) pilot project in Grenada, St. Lucia and Anguilla. The pilot project seeks to build the capacity of CARICOM Member States to implement and manage ASAPs nationally, with the aim of giving in- school youth the ability to develop sports skills while learning to make healthy lifestyle choices and avoid the negative behaviours that can lead to crime, violence and drug abuse.
The Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop for Anguilla was held from 27 – 29 November, 2013 at the James Ronald Webster Park Conference Room from 9am – 4pm daily. A total of 22 persons successfully completed the training. The workshop was design to equip participants with the necessary skills to engage, motivate and transfer knowledge to a wide cross section of sport for development personnel in interactive, practical, youth friendly and fun ways. The programme is schedule to begin in January 2014.
Basketball
Anguilla’s National basketball team has been selected for the upcoming L.I.B.A tournament that will be held in Antigua from the 12th-15th December. The names are as follows;

Windball Cricket
The finalist of the 2013 Digicel sponsored windball tournament has been decided. In two exciting semifinal matches played at the Sandy Ground playing field on Sunday December 1st, the winners were not known until the last ball was bowled in both games.
In game1, deadly force just got pass the ever improving Grass Roots by just 8 runs. Deadly force batted first and managed to score just 106 for 9 despite the heavy hitting of Carlo Gumbs who scored 70 runs in a flash. In reply, the Grassroots was in with a fighting chance but fell short. John Millington top scored for grassroots with an unbeaten 68 runs.
In game 2, the Point United edged out GT Blazers. Garvey Lake continued his heavy hitting with a score of 61 runs and Leon Lake continued showing his consistency with 33 runs. Both Leon and Garvey Lake put together their second 100 run partnership in just 9 overs. Despite the good start, Point United still only managed 128 and gave hope to the GT Blazers. Shane Burton picked up 3 wickets and also the first hatrick of the tournament. In reply, GT Blazers made 120 for 5 just falling short by 8 runs with Terry Adams top scoring with 53 runs not out.
This Sunday December 8th at sandy ground, the GT Blazers will play the Grassroots for 3rd place trophy and in the finals; the Point United will come up against the unbeaten Deadly force. This is a rematch of the knockout tournament. First game starts at 11 am and all players are expected to be at the playing field for 10:30am for an early start to cater for bad light and the closing ceremony and awards presentation. The general public are kindly asked to come on out and witness what is expected to be a grand finale.
Volleyball
The Raiders volleyball team of Statia visited Anguilla on Saturday and defeated Anguilla by winning 4-2 in a best of 6 series.
