Criminal activities in Anguilla are continuing to show a downward trend, although there is still some concern about the incidence of crime on the island.
The Police report for the period October 17-23, showed that there were six crimes, described as “serious” in Anguilla. These included four thefts at Chalvilles, Island Harbour, The Farrington and South Hill. The stolen items included car parts, electricity and a sum of money.
The other two offences were burglaries at The Forest and Little Harbour, where the stolen items included television sets.
Four persons were arrested during the period as follows: one male for possession of firearm; one male for possession of cannabis; one male for taking a conveyance; and one male for being armed with an offensive weapon.
