Darwin Archibald Bryan
Of Pond Ground, East End

Obituary01Mr Bryan died at the Princess Alexandra Hospital on Sunday, October 20, 2013. He was born at Junks Hole, East End, on August 19, 1938 to the late Eugene Bryan nee Lake and Joseph Bryan.

The late Mr Bryan was married to Mrs Verna Bryan and was the father of four children: Laureen Bryan, Dr Clyde Laurian Bryan, Dr Vernal J Bryan and Dawnette Bryan-Lico, Also left to mourn are his seven grandchildren, other close relatives and friends.

Full details for his funeral services are pending.

 

Mrs Jane Canning
A.k.a. Babs Canning of Nevis

pic01Mrs Canning passed away on Friday, October 18, in her beloved island of Nevis at the age of 103.

Mrs Canning was the wife of the late Canon Richard Canning, an English-born Priest, who served in Anguilla and other Caribbean islands for many years.

She was well-known in Anguilla having lived at Cul de Sac, Blowing Point, before returning to Nevis in 2008. She was a popular church and community worker in Anguilla and is credited with assisting in the growth and strengthing of the Mothers’ Union. She was also a known newspaper columnist on the island.

Mrs Canning leaves to mourn many relatives, friends and acquaintances scattered throughout the Caribbean and other parts of the world.

A Celebration of her life will be held at the Anglican Church in Charlestown, Nevis, on Saturday, November 2 at 3.00 p.m. Tributes will commence at 2.00 p.m.
May her soul rest in peace.
