The Anguilla Community College presented certificates to 12 participants in the 3-day “Leadership at Every Level” seminar on Friday afternoon. The class members represented various organisations, including: da’Vida Restaurant, Black Orchid, Delta Petroleum, Sandy Island, WEBSTER, the Anguilla Tourist Board – and the Department of Environment.
The participants began with self-evaluations and business and team assessments to shape a leadership plan for their organisations when returning to work. The course then featured specific leadership skills and modules to: develop and communicate a clear vision for where he or she is leading the team; remain keenly competitive through customer focus; engage and align all on the team and those in external, collaborative groups – and always demonstrate respect and integrity to build credibility and trust.
The seminar was based on research published by Bergmann/Hurson/Russ-eft and developed and conducted on behalf of the Anguilla Community College by Melinda Goddard, Principal of ClienTell Consulting, LLC. Persons interested in attending a future class may note that the course is tentatively planned for one session only in 2014. Please watch for future announcements, accordingly.
