The inquest is ongoing into the deaths of Marlon Harrigan and Silwood Connor in a vehicular accident on the Long Path on September 20.
Police Commissioner Rudolph Proctor explained that in this jurisdiction, inquests were a major part of unnatural deaths in Anguilla.
“If there is no clear cut cause of death there will be an inquest,” he said.
Mr Proctor told reporters that pathologist Dr Stephen King had already conducted the postmortem on both bodies, testified at the inquest and presented his report to the Coroner.
The Commissioner also said that another expert is to be brought in to carry out investigations on the car to determine what led to the accident. He disclosed that Mr Spencer Grant from the British Virgin Islands who had done similar work in this jurisdiction was likely to be given the assignment.
Marlon and Silwood died after their car struck a section of the building at Best Buy Supermarket building.
The funeral for Marlon will be held on Saturday October 5 and Sil’s funeral will be held on Monday, October 7.
