The Methodist Church in Anguilla continues its 200th anniversary celebration of Methodist Witness in Anguilla in October, with the staging of two special events namely: the Awards Banquet on the 11 October; and an Anniversary Thanksgiving Service on Sunday 13th October.
For these two events the Connexional President, the Rev Otto Wade, and the Leeward Islands District President, the Rev Franklin Manners, will be joining with the Circuit in celebration.
At the Awards Banquet,the Connexional President will address the gathering where several members of the six congregations will be honoured for their contribution to the life and witness of the Methodist Church in Anguilla.
At the Thanksgiving Service on Sunday 13, the Leeward Islands District President will deliver the message. Many of the supernumerary ministers residing in Anguilla will join the Superintendent Minister, Rev Wycherley Gumbs, the Circuit Minister Rev E Dunstan Richardson and other members of the Circuit Staff in officiating.
The anniversary celebrations began in January and included various festivals; services; lectures; and other activities all of which energised the membership.
The final activity for the Celebrations will be a series of Evangelical Services in November led by Rev Theophilus Role of the Bahamas, Turks & Caicos Islands District.
