The Police in Anguilla are continuing to express concern over the continuing spate of thefts, robberies and burglaries plaguing the island.
During the period August 26 to September 4, the Police reported that there were nine serious crimes committed in Anguilla. Among them were four thefts at Prickley Pear, George Hill, Meads Bay and Sea Rocks, Island Harbour.
The stolen items included an iPhone, iPad, a Samsung Galaxy Tablet, a flat screen television, a wrist watch, a cable box and a sum of money.
There were five burglaries at The Farrington, South Hill, South Valley, The Forest and North Hill.
Among the stolen items were a Laptop computer, an iPad, a DVD player, a BlackBerry cellular phone, a flat screen television, jewellery, a camera and a sum of money.
Six persons were arrested during the above period as follows: one female for immigration purposes; one male on a default warrant; two males on suspicion of theft; and two males for murder.
