With only seven weeks in the post, Her Excellency the Governor, Christina Scott, has concluded a series of familiarisation visits to each of the seven electoral constituencies in Anguilla. She was accompanied by the Elected Representative for each constituency.

The Governor’s last visit on Thursday, September 5, was to Valley North where the Elected Representative is the Hon Evans Rogers. She visited the Zemi Beach project, Saint James Medical School; the Native Stone operation; The Anguillian and Mr Bob Rogers,a participant in the Anguilla Revolution. There were other planned visits in the constituency organised by Mr Rogers but were called off due to the late hour and rain, according to him.

Commenting on her tours to the constituencies, Governor Scott told The Anguillian:“The warmth of the greeting I have had everywhere has been breathtaking. It has made it easy to fall in love with the place and to really want to know people extremely well. I am really looking forward to continuing that. This isn’t something I am doing at the beginning. It is how I want to do the job. I want to continue to be exposed to every aspect of life here in Anguilla and to be part of the community in an active way…My passion is to get to know the community here and to be involved as part of that community.”
