As the new school year begins the Education Welfare Officers would like to extend a hearty welcome to all new and returning students. We hope that you had a relaxing vacation and have returned to school rejuvenated and eager to succeed.
Parents and guardians, it is our hope that this year we will work even closer together to enhance the lives of your children – our students. To this end, we are imploring you to equip your child/children with the necessities for school. Such necessities refer not only uniforms and school supplies but healthy meals as well.
We also ask that you do your utmost to ensure that your child/children attend school daily and on time. Please note that primary schools begin at 8:25 am and 1:00 pm and secondary schools at 8:20 am and 1:10 pm. In an effort to reduce absenteeism you are being asked to contact the school via telephone, or in writing, to report any cases of illness or justified absence.
As those charged with monitoring school attendance, it is our duty to assist parents in ensuring that their child/children are in school. Let us all strive to make this academic yearsuccessful. Wishing you a productive school year 2013-2014.
