Cycling:- 

Anguilla was represented by Mr. Ricardo (Concho) Romney at the 2013 Caribbean Junior Cycling Championships which was held in Aruba over the weekend of 27-28th July.
Ricardo who won this event two years ago in Puerto Rico placed 7th in the Time Trials and 8th in the Roadrace. Over 40 riders from about ten countries were at this event.
He was accompanied by coach Ronnie Bryan.
Meanwhile senior cyclists are preparing for the OECS Championships in St. Lucia on the 25th of August.

Boatrace-:
The Peter Perkins Boatrace, which was schedule to take on Sunday28th July, was cancelled as the wind was too light for the boats.

The Department of Sports annual sports summer camp for children ages 6-14 concluded on Friday 26th July, 2013. A total 65 children was in attendance for the three week period. Children were taught basic Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis and Netball skills. They were also treated to two days of Golf at the Cuisinart Golf Resort. Activity sessions were held both at the JRWP and at Campus B Auditorium. The morning sessions of the camp were led by coach Ian Connor assisted by coaches Carol Webster, Majorie Prince and Colin Liddie. The cricket sessions were conducted by coaches Nigel Linton, Delano Mussington and John Jeffers. Table Tennis sessions were conducted by coaches Carlton Daniel and Derron Mitchel.
The Department of Sports would like to thank Hall’s Unique Bakery, Mary’s Bakery, Unique Trading Ltd,the staff at the JRWP, coaches and all persons who have assisted in making the camp a success and look forward to your support next year.
