The Immigration Department in Anguilla has put in place special arrangements to allow residents of St. Maarten/St. Martin to attend Summer Festival activities in Anguilla

Commencing August 1st – 11th, 2013, nationals/residents of St. Martin/St. Maarten, who are not in possession of passports, will be allowed to enter Anguilla on a valid French or Dutch ID.
Nationals from other Caribbean Islands, requiring visas for Anguilla, will be exempted from the visa requirements for the same period. However, they MUST show proof of legal residency in St. Martin/St. Maarten.

Boat captains must ensure that the names of ALL persons travelling to Anguilla during this period are properly manifested and properly accounted for. Therefore, no one should be allowed to board a ferry if his or her name is not manifested.

The Chief Immigration Officer says this is a measure put in place every year to allow the many nationals of St. Maarten/St. Martin and other eligible residents to participate in Anguilla’s Summer Festival thus enhancing the close bonds of friendship and other cultural ties between the islands.
