Heritage Collection Museumis continuing to serve as a very effective means of understanding the history of Anguilla, and to welcome a growing number of visitors seeking enlightenment about the pastand present life of the island and its people.

Among the visitors on Tuesday, this week, were the Attorney General of Anguilla, Mr James Wood, and his two young sons, Inigo and Alajandro. Mr Wood, a United Kingdom national, is on his second term of office on the island. He is currently on vacation leave and is using it in part to introduce his children to the Anguillian way of life.

Asked what attracted his interest in the museum, the Attorney General replied: “It provides a most fascinating insight into Anguilla’s history, and it shows the huge diversity of the different things that people did and how rich the cultural heritage is. We have all made some discoveries in relation to events that have gone on in Anguilla including the extent of boat-building and the different industries and other things that took place. It is a fascinating insight into the past. It is a super place.”
