Though not as big as on previous occasions, the Valley Street Festival, held on Saturday, July 6, attracted much public interest and gave a number of groups and individuals an opportunity to market and sell their goods and services.
The event, at the customary area of the People’s Market, was a presentation by the Anguilla Tourist Board in conjunction with the John T. Memorial Cycle Race and various food, clothing and arts and crafts vendors.
Among those with cultural food stalls were leaders and representatives of the Cub Scouts. They were raising funds to send a group of youngsters to CaribbeanCuboree 2013 in Suriname later this month.
The Valley Street Festival has turned out to be a popular event to which many visitors and residents are attracted.
