A fine example of recycling plastic shopping bags is being demonstrated by Ms Pearline Bryan of Wattices. She has found a useful way of transforming them into black or white handbags for everyday use. The process is by crocheting them into robust and viable bags complete with straps.
This has become a spare time delight for her, rather than simply discarding the shopping bags after taking out her groceries. She will either place the beautiful handbags on sale or on exhibition.
Speaking on her behalf, Ms Bryan’s son, Franklin, said his mother’s recycling work is intended to show young people, in a particular, oneof the ways to put their spare time to good use.
