LIME Anguilla, which is funding a number of carnival-related events at some one hundred thousand dollars, has announced its 2013 Summer Promotion featuring various services.
Marketing Manager, Jade Reymond, said the promotion was dubbed: “Twenty thousand more reasons to value every moment”. She went on: “We will have weekly prizes that will include carnival passes, gas and grocery vouchers. We are going to be giving back to the community as much as possible. We have a number of sponsorships lined up specifically during the Summer Festival – namely, LIME’s Soca Monarch Competition; the August Monday Class A Boat Race; the PVI sponsorship for J’ouvert; and the LIME/Leeward Islands’ Calypso Monarch Competition.
“For our promotion, we will be offering customers the opportunity to enjoy I-phones. They will get a free I-phone by signing up for an I-phone package. In the 18-month contract, customers will be given free weekend calls from LIME to LIME locally and regionally. If you sign up forthe Apple I-phone, you will also get one month free data as well as the opportunity to win five thousand EC dollars at the end of our promotion. Our prepaid customers will get a 10% discount off the cost of the handset as well as one month free data.
“On our broadband end, we have a ripple treat offer where customers get free installation, a free wireless modem and the highest speed free for three months for signing up as a new customer. Existing customers get a free upgrade and one month free rental if you upgrade your service anytime during the promotion which ends on the 15th of August.
Ms Reymond said that on Friday, 5th of July, LIME launched a new prepaid offer for customers called “I dare you” – a campaign allowing customers to have 1,000 free text messages locally and regionally as well as LIME’s other local networks. Customers have to activate the services by dialling *130*1# (star 130 star one pound) and by doing that they will get the first two months free locally and regionally. She said there was also a Facebook competition, giving customers a chance to win the weekly prizes of grocery and gas vouchers and carnival passes. Customers will be required to post images of their most valued moment every week and the customer with the most likes at the end of the competition will win other passes.
Customers are eligible to win the grand prize of $5,000 if they pay their bills on time, or sign up for any new service or upgrade their service. There is also a text promotion in which customers can win an I-pad by texting its value to 3100.
Meanwhile, Mr Romney said that LIME was very much the platinum sponsor of the Summer Festival. “Our sponsorship this year is to the tune of just over one hundred thousand East Caribbean dollars. This split across four major activities: the Leeward Islands’ Calypso Monarch Competition to the tune of some forty thousand dollars; the LIME Soca Monarch Competition is to the tune of some thirty thousand dollars; sponsorship for the August Monday boat races is over fifteen thousand dollars; and for Panther Vibes International, in terms of their activities, we are looking at over ten thousand dollars. Panther Vibes is our main performing artistes and we also did their sponsorship during the Anguilla Day celebrations during the round the island boat race. So overall, our sponsor is to the tune of one hundred thousand plus East Caribbean dollars.”
