The LIME sponsored Anguilla Amateur Basketball Association 2013 national league began on Friday March 22nd. 2013, with an opening ceremony with all ten teams present, followed by a knockout tournament. The knockout tournament was won by New Breed.
The regular season started the following night and got off in grand style with a double overtime game. This proved to be just a sampling of what was to come. In one of the most tightly contested tournaments ever, saw five teams battling keenly for four playoff spots. At the end of the tournament just four points separated the first place team from the fifth place team.
The playoffs started on June 21st, with four teams going through. They were in order of seeding Shottaz, Raiders, Hoyas and New Breed. After the first round the perennial favorites Shottaz and Hoyas emerged victorious to face each once again for the championship. After the first two games which saw both teams winning by a large margin, game three turned out to be a nail biter with over ten lead changes and going right down to the final buzzer. At the end of the night it was the Shottaz who reigned supreme as the 2013 Anguilla Amateur Basketball Association Champions.
