In the final encounter Anguilla squeezed pass Antigua by a score of 1 goal to nil with Jamisha Jones scoring the lone goal for Anguilla. Although the opponents were stronger, bigger and more experienced, the Anguillian footballers played with more passion and more heart. The Anguillian team was more psychologically and physically prepared than the other teams and as a result they were the most successful.
St. Kitts were considered the favourites because they boasted several overseas players from Canada, England and America. On the other hand, Anguilla was considered the underdogs mainly because of their size, but that only inspired them to work harder. The outstanding players for the Anguilla team were captain Coleen Johnson, Shadwa Richardson, Tamisha Richardson, Roxane Bradshaw, Jakeeda Bryan, Makaiba Reid, Labrisca Gumbs and Briana White. The team was coached by Colin Johnson and assisted by Leon Jeffers. The team was managed by Monica Guishard. Other Official members of the team were Dr. Frank Kofi team Medical Doctor and Nurse Diana Carty. The team now begins its preparation for the second round which will take place in either Puerto Rico or Jamaica in October.
