Twenty-five pupils from the Bethel Methodist Pre-School graduated there on Friday, June 29. The graduation ceremony, conducted by the Principal, Mrs Londrinah Hughes, was attended by just under 200 persons mainly from the South Hill area.
Mrs Hughes was pleased with the continued progress of the pre-school in providing early education in Anguilla. The Methodist Church is known for its long contribution to education on the island. The current Bethel Pre-School is on the site where the Church once operated a primary school through which a number of leading Anguillians have passed.
The Principal was particularly grateful to Blondell Woods and Kish Baby World for having provided the uniforms for the children over a period of eleven years. She noted that each year the children wear a different colour of uniform and this year the colour was aqua blue, making the children look resplendent in their attire.
Ms Hughes was also grateful to parents, friends and many other persons for their continued assistance towards the success of the pre-school.
Bethel Pre-School is one of the early childhood education centres in Anguilla. The other two are at Ebenezer in The Valley and Maranatha in Blowing Point.
