The Sunset Homes Attackers reigning Champions of The Anguilla Male Football League, The Knock Out and President’s Cup returned home on Sunday evening in high spirits, after their stimulating football weekend at the first annual “St. Barth’s Football Challenge”. This event organized by The Comite de Football de St. Barthélémy brought together skilled teams hailing from Anguilla, French St. Martin, St. Barths, Guadeloupe and Dutch St. Maarten .

Friday night The Young Stars rose over the Sunset Home Attackers 2- 0 and the Attackers returned the following night with renewed fervor and tied with The Defending Champions of St. Barth’s Ouanaloa, 2-2, before going into overtime and then into penalty shoot-out where the Attackers cleared the final win.

Congrats is also extended to the Superstar Football Club, the reigning champion of the Anguilla Female Football League who participated in a one day tournament returning successful after defeating the St. Barth’s Women’s Team.

Sincere gratitude is expressed to Mr. Raymond Guishard and his team at The Anguilla Football Association for their key role in making this participation a great success. The St. Barth’s counterparts are also thanked for their kind invitation and generous hospitality in organizing this tournament for the good of the Football in the region.
