The Governor’s Office in Anguilla has congratulated the Hon Stanley Reid, Deputy Governor, and Sergeant Granville Duncan, the Governor’s Orderly, for being honoured in The Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
Mr. Reid has been appointed an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) and Acting Sergeant Duncan has been awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM).
Mr Reid is on his second five-year term of office as Deputy Governor. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree, Upper Second Class Honours, University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus; a Legal Education Certificate, Hugh Wooding Law School, St. Augustine, Trinidad & Tobago; a Master of Laws Degree, University of London, External Programme; and a Master of Science Degree in Policy and Management, University of London, International Programme.
Acting Sergeant Granville Duncan began serving as Orderly at the Governor’s Office from 1997. He served with Governors Robert Harris, Peter Johnstone, Alan Huckle, Andrew George and the present Governor, Alistair Harrison.
“I am honoured and proud to have been named in Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday List for 2013, and to have been awarded the British Empire Medal,” the Governor’s Orderly said.
