POLICE REPORT: TWO THEFTS, TWO BURGLARY

The Police in Anguilla reported that seven crimes were committed on the island during the period May 8-15.

Among them were two thefts which occurred at Island Harbour and Blowing Point. The stolen items included a gas cylinder and an undisclosed amount of money.

There were three burglaries at The Cove, Stoney Ground and Island Harbour. Among the stolen items were mechanical tools, liquor and money. One attempted burglary was reported at The Forest and there was a robbery report at South Hill.

Eight persons were arrested as follows: two males to prevent a breach of the peace; two males on suspicion of robbery; one female to prevent a breach of the peace; one male on a default warrant; one male for obstruction; and one male for criminal trespass.

Six traffic accidents were reported one causing serious injuries. Anothercaused damage to a telephone pole.
