A massive crowd from throughout Anguilla turned out at Choir Fest 2013, one of the events celebrating the 46th Anniversary of the 1967 Anguilla Revolution. It was held at the Mount Fortune Seventh-day Adventist Church on Thursday evening, May 23. Estimates put the number of attendees at over 1,000, making Choir Fest the largest so far in the four years of its existence.
The Opening Prayer was delivered by Pastor Virgil Sams of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Chairperson for the programme was Mrs. Serene Carter Davis, Chief Nursing Officer.
Speaking at the event, Minister of Home Affairs, Jerome Roberts, who, at the time was serving as Acting Chief Minister, said Choir Fest was an opportunity to praise God “for His goodness and blessings to us as a people for the past 46 years.”
He added: “It is indeed a joy to see the number of choirs that have once again turned out in support of this event, and it speaks volumes to the impact that this Choir Fest has had and will continue to have.”

Choir Fest 2013 was described as both enjoyable and inspiring.
