Dear Sir:
TELL US ABOUT THE MOUS
I have repeatedly heard about Government entering and signing Memorandums of Understanding with a number of would-be developers/investors, but I cannot bring to mind when was the last time that the contents of the documents were made public. If you ask my opinion, that is certainly not transparency.
In the absence of any knowledge about what the MOUs contain, the public cannot formulate its own opinion or properly appreciate or support the efforts of the Government.
I am recommending that in future the Government should allow us – the people – to know what the MOUs are all about and what benefits are there for us and Anguilla as a small island developing state.
