Malliouhana-Anico Insurance Company (MAICO) said on Monday this week that it was pleased to be a premier sponsor of the 2013 Festival Del Mar event at Island Harbour.
The company presented a cheque for US$2,500 to Mr.OthlynVanterpool, Chairman of Festival Del Mar. MAICO noted the need to support indigenous and cultural activities on the island and the benefit that Anguilla would derive for the sponsorship.
“We understand the difficulty that many organisations are encountering at this time in procuring the necessary funding for events of this magnitude,” the Insurance Company stated. “Festival Del Mar has been an Anguillian success, where residents and visitors alike look forward to a weekend of sun, sand, sea and an abundance of seafood.
“MAICO wishes to take this opportunity to wish all a safe Festival Del Mar and a Happy Easter. Remember: ‘Don’t text and drive!’”
Replying, Mr.Vanterpool, was grateful to MAICO for coming to the assistance of the Festival Del Mar Committee to enable it to successfully fund the weekend cultural event.
