MAUNDAYS BAY, Anguilla — Cap Juluca – the iconic five star retreat in the British West Indies – has been named the top hotel on Anguilla by U.S. News & World Report, an online news outlet which analyzes travel guides, user reviews and other sources to bring consumers trusted vacation rankings, hotel rankings and travel guides.
Using an unbiased methodology, U.S. News ranked the best hotels in Anguilla and the Caribbean based on a complete analysis of awards, travel expert recommendations and user ratings. Cap Juluca, long famed for its stunning whitewashed architecture, distinctive Moorish-style beach front villas and mile-long crescent of powder white sand beach, ranked first out of 13 Anguilla hotels.
According to the U.S. News Cap Juluca review, “Each Greco Moorish-style villa features an oceanfront view and private terrace. Extra-large umbrellas dot the calm beach, and attendants deliver chilled towels and sorbet throughout the day. When you need a break from the sand, hit the links at the 18-hole golf course or sign up for one of the resort’s weekly tennis clinics.”
Known for its ultra secluded and romantic ambiance, Cap Juluca has received numerous awards over its 25-year history. This latest accolade comes on the heels of the resort’s recent announcement of a full-property refurbishment program, which is underway, and recent upgrades such as the new luxurious 3,290-square-foot Jonquil Suite.
“We are thrilled to add this accolade to our growing list of awards and honors,” said Charles and Linda Hickox, owners of Cap Juluca. “Our enduring successes can be attributed to an unrivaled beachfront setting, extraordinary amenities and most of all, to our exceptionally attentive and unfailingly gracious staff.”
To create this year’s rankings, U.S. News ranked nearly 2,000 hotels across the United States and the Caribbean. Only the top 10 percent were selected as winners of the annual Best Hotels lists. For more information, visit http://travel.usnews.com/hotels
