A large number of persons were present at the opening of an art show by Beverly Perdue of Virginia, USA, on Saturday, 23rd February. The show was dedicated to the late Eunice Payne who was a friend of Beverly’s since she took her photo at the Anguilla Market and painted her portrait some years ago.
The show includes nineteen water colour paintings and one oil painting. There are also several prints of the originals that are particularly well produced. Beverly has managed to capture the spirit of Anguilla in her paintings of views, boats, animals and other scenes of the island.
She is a signature member of the prestigious American Watercolor Society and is the recipient of many national and international awards. She has exhibited widely throughout the United States and her work is included in many private and corporate collections.
