A formal dinner and ball was the climaxing event of a series of activities which commemorated the Forty-first Anniversary of the Royal Anguilla Police Force.
The event, which attracted a large number of guests, filled the dining areas at La Vue to capacity. The guests included officials from the Governor’s and Government’s offices, the Judiciary, other public service offices, leaders in the private sector and from a cross-section of the community.
The welcome address was delivered by Sergeant Randolph Yearwood, Chairman of the 2013 Police Week. Speaking on behalf of Commissioner Rudolph Proctor, and all other ranks of the Force, the senior Police Officer was delighted with the large turnout which was indicative of the support of the guests for the Police and their week of activities.
He was also grateful to La Vue for accommodating the event and extending its courtesies to the Police Force and the guests.
The invocation was delivered by Assistant Priest in the Anglican Church, Reverend Menes Hodge.
Entertainment during the function was provided by Boss and his Horsepower Band, DJ Jomo and Keith Gumbs.
The recently-expanded La Vue at Back Street, overlooking scenic Road Bay, is a locally-owned accommodation facility housing a spacious conference room, an up-market restaurant, and a number of guest rooms.
It is the latest such facility in Anguilla and is owned and operated by Kirk Hughes.
