The Valley, Anguilla, 21st January, 2013. CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank is supporting a Food Bank drive for the Anguilla Community.
CIBC FirstCaribbean has contributed EC $8,100 to the Food drive spearheaded by the AXA Cares Food Bank and the Hope Centre.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Hope Centre and the AXA Cares Food Bank I would like to thank CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank for this very generous donation. We can assure them that this will be used strictly for that purpose,” said the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hope Centre Mr Gareth Hodge.
The Hope Centre partners with the AXA Cares Food Bank in the distribution of food to needy people around the island.
“There is strict accountability in relation to the spending of all the funds which goes to purchasing food for all the needy people…in the entire island community,” Mr Hodge reassured the management of CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank Anguilla branch.
Mr Othlyn Vanterpool who assists with the distribution of food to needy persons said he was also pleased that CIBC FirstCaribbean has seen it fit to come on board and assist the AXA Cares Food Bank.
“I want to tell the general public that we are still accepting donations and we have our drop off bins at some of the stores like Ashley and Sons in The Valley and Blowing Point, and J W Proctors in The Quarter….so you can continue to support us…and it will go a long way to assist some of the needy in the community throughout Anguilla…in these days we are all in need so let us help those who are most needy,” urged Mr Vanterpool.
“On behalf of CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank we are happy to contribute to the AXA Cares Food Bank in this food drive to help the needy on the island. We at CIBC FirstCaribbean are glad to show our corporate responsibility to those in need on Anguilla,” remarked Customer Service Manager at the Anguilla Branch Mr Courtney Morton.
