There were six serious crimes in Anguilla during the period January 16-23.
Among them were four burglaries at Little Harbour, West End, Rey Hill and the Forest. The stolen items included Nike shoes, foodstuff and a sum of money.
There were eight arrests during the period as follows: three males for burglary; one male for handling stolen property; one female for handling stolen property; one male for theft; one male on a default warrant; and one male for possession and cultivation of cannabis.
On Monday, January 21, the Criminal Investigation Department discovered eighty cannabis plants near a dwelling house at South Hill. One male was arrested and charged for cultivation.
On Tuesday, January 22, the Drugs and Firearm Task Force discovered sixty-nine cannabis plants at Garlin Bottom, Island Harbour. No arrest was made.
