The Police Report for January 9-16 showed that there were eight serious crimes committed in Anguilla during that period.
Of those matters, there were four reports of theft at West End, South Hill and Island Harbour.The stolen items included several bags of cement, a washing machine and electricity.
Two cases of burglary were reported at West End and Island Harbour.Among the stolen items were tools, the contents of a letter box and a sum of money.
There were two reports of packages found near the prison fence. One outside the compound, and the other inside, contained cannabis, a cellular phone, tobacco and cigarette lighters.
Seven persons were arrested for various matters as follows: two males to prevent a breach of the peace; two males on a bench warrant; one male for possession cannabis; one male for conveying drugs to Her Majesty’s Prison; and one male on a default warrant.
Six traffic accidents were reported during the period.
