POLICE REPORT: 5 THEFTS, 4 BURGLARIES

The Police Report for the period December 26, 2012, to January 2, 2013, shows that there were five thefts and four burglaries in Anguilla.

The thefts were committed at Long Ground, South Hill, Blowing Point and South Valley. The stolen items included a chest of drawers, water pumps, a bicycle, a sum of money and pig and piglets.

The burglaries took place at Rock Farm, South Hill, North Valley and George Hill. Among the stolen articles were a laptop computer, speakers, a stereo set, amplifying equipment, a television set , jewellery and money.
There was one case of wounding at The Farrington.

There was one report of gunshots fired at Sandy Ground.

Seven persons were arrested during the above period as follows: one male on default warrants; one male to prevent a breach of the peace; one male for theft; one female for possession of cannabis; one male on a warrant for possession of a firearm; one male for drunk driving; and one male for murder (reported elsewhere in this edition of The Anguillian).

There were four reported traffic accidents.
