Some eighty former employees of CuisinArt Golf Resort and Spa, who retired or otherwise honourably left their jobs, have received varying financial awards referred to as profit-sharing.
The profit-sharing cheques, amounting to about US$140,000, were distributed by General Manager, Stephane Zaharia, on Friday, January 11. He stressed that the financial awards were made to the many recipients in terms of their length of service and salaries in the positions they held, and were therefore not given in equal amounts.
“This is a great event for CuisinArt Golf Resort and Spa,” Mr.Zahariastated. “It is the essence of what we stand for. It is taking good care of employees for taking good care of customers. We are the only business on the island that provides a true profit-sharing programme with all our employees.
“Any employee who joins the resort will be getting on that programme. At the end of his or her tenure, in terms of retirement will be receiving a certain amount of money that reflects the seniority of the employee and salary level the person was employed under.
“This is the first time that we are distributing these funds and we are exemplifying the commitment that we have in taking good care of our employees.”
Mr. Zaharia said the money was made available through the kindness of Mr. Leandro Rizzuto, owner of CuisinArt Golf Resort and Spa, under a fund managed by the company’s Auditors.
The General Manager took the opportunity to welcome the former employees to the resort to receive their ‘thank you’ cheques, and told them about the many improvements undertaken at the property since they left. They were afterwards entertained with refreshments at Le Bistro, Santorini Terrance.
