LIME Anguilla, through its General Manager, Mark Romney, brought some well-needed Christmas cheer to the elderly on Tuesday this week. Mr. Romney visited the four homes and presented specially-prepared lunches to the residents.

The elderly persons reside at the Miriam Gumbs Senior Citizens Home, Tender Loving Care, Just Tender Loving and the Rosewood Centre.

“This is again a very special day for us at LIME as we continue our community outreach,” Mr. Romney said. “This is one of our traditions in that every year we treat the residents at the Miriam Gumbs Senior Citizens Home at a Christmas luncheon. This year it is in a sense different in that we decided to take on all of the homes, so right now all the residents are being treated for Christmas.

“We take this opportunity to say Merry Christmas and in particular to the very hard-working staff and, as we all can see, the elderly are being cared for very well. We are happy to be here spreading the joy and true meaning of Christmas. It is all about sharing and caring.”

Replying, Nurse Coreen Hodge, Head Nurse at the Miriam Gumbs Senior Citizens Home, thanked LIME Anguilla for its continued interest in the elderly, and for its general involvement in the life of the community.
