Jets “stacked” up at Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport

With the coming of the Christmas holiday season, there was a noticeable increase in the number of Executive Jets which flew into the Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport in Anguilla.

A total of between 60 and 65 jets landed at the airstrip, having made direct flights to the island from various cities in the United States. A few flights were recorded from Europe.

The planes normally bring in a number of celebrities and other persons in the category of “the rich and famous” for the holiday season.

The flights into Anguilla are handled by Lloyd’s Aviation Services.

The jets started arriving in Anguilla in 2005, shortly after the lengthening of the runway and the provision of a shoulder for a parking area for those types of aircraft.
