Properties in Paradise Completes 8-day training program in Anguilla

On Thursday October 25th  Mr Bruce Hearn, director of Properties in Paradise, a full service management consulting firm specializing in villa staff training, was proud to present 8 students who participated in the Little Harbour Estates Private Service Attendant training with their certificates.

Mr. Hearn has over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry and is theCaribbeanrepresentative for The Starkey Institute of Household Management www.starkeycaribbean.com . Based on the Starkey principals these 8 students through both classroom and practical lessons studied how to become a Private Service Attendant (PSA), a multi-skilled professional whose responsibility it is to look after the guest’s needs at Le Bleu and Indigo Villas. The class was a mixture of existing staff of Little Harbour Estates and potential new candidates who were carefully selected by Properties inParadiserecruitment arm. “The recipe for a successful  PSA is a flexible, hardworking, well presented team player who enjoys making our guests happy by delivering excellent service whilst remaining astute to each guests individual needs” comments Mr. Hearn.

 

All of our graduates were offered either a full time or part time PSA position at Le Bleu and Indigo and we are proud to announceJerdellLakeas Service Manager. When presented with the position Jerdell commented “Saying thank you isn’t enough. I appreciate all the thought effort and training that was put forth and I’m excited to be officially a part of the team”.  Gina Grell another new full time PSA says “Thanks to Bruce who through training offered valuable insight into the business..I am excited!”

Wine training during the 8 day intensive course

John Barker, owner of Little Harbour Estates said the following, “We found this program extremely helpful in training our staff to achieve flexibility in work practice and expand their skill set.  It also gave us a unique opportunity to gain insight into the new job candidates by creating an eight day interview process while giving prospective employees an opportunity to “try-on” a new job before accepting employment.”
