Address will be delivered in the Anguilla House of Assembly on Monday, November 26, by Chief Minister and Minister of Finance, Hubert Hughes.
The House will be meeting at 2 pm when the 2013 Appropriation Bill, embodying the estimates of recurrent revenue and recurrent expenditure will be given its first and second readings. The figures have not been announced probably due to the fact that discussions between the Anguilla Government and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office are still continuing.
It is understood that the budget debate is likely to take place in two weeks’ time.
The early submission of the budget to the British Government, at the end of October, will provide more time for approval unlike on the previous occasion when it was said by officials in London that they needed more time to study the proposals.
