Once again NAGICO has provided support for the development of sports in the community through its sponsorship of the Salsa Ballers Football Club.
Recently, President and Vice Persistent of the club, Mr. Valdez Johnson and Mr. Karl Woodley, were honoured to receive a check from Mr Mike Gallagher, CFO of NAGICO.
In thanking Mr Gallagher, Mr. Johnson stated that the funds would be used to ensure that the Salsa Club participates in the 2012-2013 football season through the purchasing of well-needed football gear and uniforms. He continued by saying that “football in Anguilla has come a long way, and with sponsorship from such a reputable company this can only help the team to prepare for success.”
The members of the team played for the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School and for the past four years as the Salsa Ballers. There is no doubting the commitment of these young men under the leadership of team Coach Mr. Leon Jeffers. The club is excited about the start of the season, which begins in November, and NAGICO’s sponsorship has boosted the moral of its members. They too extend their thanks and, like Mr. Johnson, feel that with the support of NAGICO it is only the start of great things to come.
