“Leaving Island Life” is the inspiring story of a girl from the Caribbean island of Anguilla who longed to experience first hand how people live in other cultures. In the book, we follow Miss Denise Crawford through her experiences as she encounters these different cultures for the first time. We see from an outsider’s perspective what other islands in the Caribbean are like, then the USA and finally England, the book is filled with humour, wonder and wisdom.
