ANGUILLA PLACED 4TH IN 15TH ANNUAL WORLD DOMINO COMPETITION

 

Anguilla domino players returned from the 15th World Domino Competition held in Orlando, Florida, from the 17 – 26 August, 2012.  Other participating teams were defending champions Barbados, along with Antigua and Barbuda, Canada, Guyana, Jamaica, who participated for the first time, and host countryU.S.A.  Once again Barbados was victorious.

Anguilla’s performance was as follows:

4 Hand Competition – 3rd place

Queen of Dominoes – 2nd place

Overall Competition – 4th place

 

Outstanding performances for Anguilla came from Venneta Issac and Joseph Carty (Badger).

 

The next tournament will be held in Barbados in 2014.
