As reported elsewhere in The Anguillian, three persons are no longer serving on the Anguilla Tourist Board. They are Mr. Eustace Guishard (former Chairman) and membersMr.DelroyLakeand Mr. Douglas Eckel.
In order to dispel rumours, Mr.Guishard on Wednesday released two letters he received from Chief Minister and Minister of Tourism, Mr. Hubert Hughes. The first, dated 26 July 2012, reads as follows:
“Dear Sir
“I hereby re-appointment you as Chairman of the Anguilla Tourist Board for the period beginning 18 March 2012 to 31 July 2012. I take this opportunity to thank you for your sterling contribution to the Board and toAnguillaas a whole.”

The second letter dated 26 July 2012 is as follows:
“Dear Mr. Guishard:
“The Ministry has taken the decision to restructure the membership of the Anguilla Tourist Board, in light of recommendations contained in the STMP with regard to revising its operations and functions in keeping with current market trends.
“By way of this correspondence, I hereby indicate that your current term as Chairman of the Anguilla Tourist Board will not be renewed beyond July 31 2012.
“On behalf of the Government and the people ofAnguilla, I would like to record my deepest appreciation for your invaluable contribution for the past two and a half years as Chairman of the Anguilla Tourist Board.”
